Campaign Locking

Campaign locking is a mechanism designed to preserve the integrity of a campaign once it is active or has been executed. To prevent unauthorised changes that could compromise campaign outcomes, certain elements are automatically locked prior to execution. The following components are locked once a campaign or experiment is in progress (and remain locked after completion):

  • Start Date: The scheduled start time cannot be altered.
  • Selected Segment: The target audience is fixed.
  • Actions and Their Schedules: The specific actions (e.g., SMS, email, push, webhooks) and their timing are secured.
  • Experiment Actions and Their Schedules: Any actions related to experiments are similarly locked.

⚠️ While some elements remain editable during the active phase of a dynamic campaign, caution is advised when making modifications.

Changes to segments or triggers during this stage can impact campaign analytics and overall performance. In such cases, it is recommended to stop the campaign, copy it, and launch a new version with the desired changes.

To ensure a smooth campaign execution, it is best to keep the campaign set to Inactive until all configurations and settings are finalised.
