Creating a Segment From Segments UI

Segments are used to define target audiences for one-off or dynamic campaigns, including lifecycle campaigns, retention campagins, and automated journeys. They enable granular audience segmentation, improving engagement and retention by ensuring that messages reach the most relevant users.

Creating a Segment

To create a new segment:

  1. Navigate to the Segments UI on the right navigation bar and click New.
  2. Assign a name to the segment and add any tags for easy identification.

 

  1. Select segment attributes from the available list.
    • Attributes are categorised based on verticals.
    • Alternatively, a player list can be copied and pasted.
  2. Choose whether the segment should match all selected attributes (AND logic) or any of them (OR logic).

  1. Click Save to create the segment.
  2. To check the current number of customers within the segment, click Rebuild.

 

At this stage, the segment can either be:

  • Saved for future use, or
  • Used immediately for campaign creation by selecting Create Campaign at the bottom of the segment UI.
  • Used immediately for journey creation by selecting Create Journey at the bottom of the segment UI.
