Feature Authorisation

Feature authorisation allows administrators and designated users to control detailed UI access for end-users. This ensures that individuals have the necessary permissions to perform specific tasks within the platform while maintaining strict oversight of access rights.

By configuring feature-level permissions, organisations can implement role-based access control (RBAC), restricting user interactions to only the features aligned with their roles and responsibilities.

What Can Be Authorised?

Administrators have the ability to grant or restrict access to various features, ensuring users only interact with the elements relevant to their roles. Permissions can be applied to:

  • Campaigns – Control whether a user can create, edit, update, or view campaigns, including those created by others.
  • Journeys – Define whether a user can create, modify, or update customer journeys, as well as access those created by others.
  • Segments – Manage permissions for creating, editing, and updating audience segments, or limit access to viewing only, including the export of segment data.
  • Communication Messages – Restrict or allow the ability to create, edit, or update messaging content, including messages authored by other users.
  • Settings – Specify who can view or modify brand-level settings.
  • Other Interface Elements – Grant or restrict access to additional features as needed, providing flexible control over the platform’s UI.

This structured authorisation approach helps maintain security, streamline workflows, and ensure users have appropriate access based on their responsibilities.

Why Feature Authorisation Matters

  • Ensures Data Security – Prevents unauthorised modifications or data exposure.
  • Improves Operational Control – Grants users only the tools they need, reducing potential errors.
  • Supports Compliance & Governance – Helps enforce company-wide access policies.

By implementing granular access controls, organisations can customise user roles to align with their business requirements, ensuring a secure and efficient data environment within the CRM.
