Journeys, also known as drip campaigns or automation rules, enable the creation of various customer journeys, campaigns, and automated workflows. Anything that can be achieved within a lifecycle or retention campaign can also be implemented within a journey.

Getting started is simple. A selection of prebuilt journey templates is available for use. To get started:

  • Select a template and click "Import" to use an existing workflow.
  • Alternatively, create a blank journey and build a custom workflow from scratch.

Preferences

Start & End Date

  • The journey begins and ends on the specified start and end dates.
  • Enabling "Extend Goal Date" allows goals achieved after the end date but within the goal lead time to still be captured.
  • If disabled, the journey concludes exactly on the end date with no further goal tracking.

Tags

  • Assign one or more tags to a journey.
  • Tags allow for quick searching and filtering of journeys using the search bar at the top of the screen.

Sender Options

  • Configure reply-to addresses and sender details for journey communications.
  • These settings determine the sender information customers see when receiving messages.

Engagement Options

  • Define how customer interactions are measured within the journey.
  • The "Message Engagement" setting determines what constitutes engagement (e.g., an email open or link click).
  • Additional engagement goals can be configured, such as requiring a click for email engagement. If a customer does not click a link, they will not progress further along the journey path.

Delivery Options

  • Override settings for opt-outs and unsubscribes.
  • ⚠️ Important: Modifying these settings can bypass customer opt-outs.
  • It is strongly advised not to ignore opt-outs or unsubscribes for promotional emails.

Enrolment

  • Manual Enrolment: A journey can be set to require explicit enrolment before it is triggered for a customer.
  • Enabling manual enrolment generates a unique identifier for the journey.
  • This identifier must be passed via API when enrolling customers in the journey.

Early Enrolment

  • By default, customers can enroll from the journey’s start date.
  • If early enrollment is required, enable this option to allow customers to enrol a set number of days before the journey's start date.
